TANMAYA BINGHAM
founder and CEO
I’m a multidisciplinary figurative artist whose work has been exhibited since 1996 in museums, galleries, and cultural institutions both nationally and internationally, including New York, Santa Fe, Sydney, Hong Kong, and Berlin. My art has been featured in publications such as New American Paintings, Vogue Living, Hi-Fructose, Artnet, Artsy, and The Sydney Morning Herald. I have been recognized as a finalist in the Bennett Prize, received several sustainable arts awards, and my work is held in major public and private collections.

Drawing from a rich visual vocabulary encompassing surrealism, realism, and symbolic abstraction, my meticulously rendered compositions—primarily in colored pencil and acrylic—challenge societal conventions while exploring the emotional complexity of the human condition. My visual narratives inhabit ambiguous, often otherworldly realms, examining the porous boundaries between self and society, reality and illusion, and the individual and the collective.

In addition to my artistic practice, I have been curating, mentoring, and teaching since 2007, and I have worked in arts management since 1998. I’ve collaborated with private art dealers, managed art fairs and galleries nationally and internationally, and curated exhibitions for artists from England, Australia, South Africa, and the United States. I have held leadership roles in arts education, ranging from director of private art schools to gallery director and university instructor. I have also served on committees for numerous arts organizations, including West Space (Melbourne, Australia), the Center for Contemporary Arts (Santa Fe, New Mexico), the Vancouver Biennale (Canada), and the Lake Oswego Arts Council (Oregon).

I earned my Bachelor of Arts from Antioch University (Santa Barbara, CA) and a Master of Arts in Painting from the Australian National University (Canberra, Australia). I have pursued advanced studies in painting and art history in Florence, Italy; art and architecture in Paris, France; and computer graphics in London, England, and Vancouver, BC. I also hold certifications in coaching, public speaking, and leadership.
